DISCOVERING UMUOKA: A HIDDEN GEM IN IMO STATE NIGERIA.

Nestled in the heart of the Amakohia-Ubi community in the Umunwoha region of Owerri West LGA, Imo State, Nigeria, lies the vibrant town of Umuoka. This town, often referred to as Okacity or Small London, is a testament to the rich cultural heritage and communal spirit of the Igbo people. Umuoka is a town that is as intriguing as it is beautiful, with a history that is as fascinating as its people.  Umuoka is divided into four villages, each with its unique characteristics and traditions. The first village is UMUBE, named after the first son. UMUELEM, named after the second son, is the second village. The third village is UMUORIEKAFOR, named after the third son. The fourth village, UMUORJI, was born by UMUBE, making Umuoka a town of four children.
