Councilor of Avu/Oforola, Hon.Ajangwo in Owerri West Suspended Indefinitely by Ward Chairman

A viral document has confirmed the indefinite suspension of Hon. Paschal Okoro (Ajangwo), the Councilor representing Avu/Oforola Ward 1 in Owerri West Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the suspension letter, dated November 28, 2024, the action follows an investigation by the Ward 1 Disciplinary Committee. The committee found that Hon. Okoro’s conduct was unbecoming, citing his reckless abuse of office and breaches of public peace as grounds for the suspension.

The official suspension notice, signed by Hon. Chukwudi Emejuobi, the Ward 1 Chairman, states that Hon. Okoro is indefinitely suspended from the APC, effective immediately. The letter further specifies that he is barred from participating in any party activities, emphasizing the need to protect the party’s image and reputation at all times.

You are not to participate in any activities or functions of the APC during this period.

The integrity and image of our great party must always be upheld.

When contacted for confirmation, Hon. Humphrey Umunnakwe, the APC LGA Chairman of Owerri West, verified the suspension of Hon. Okoro.

Despite multiple attempts to reach the suspended Councilor for his side of the story, his phone remained unavailable at the time of this report.
